The Reykjavik Staunton Chess Series can commonly be called the Bobby Fischer or Jacob Knight or even the Jacques Staunton Series. This particular set of chess pieces has a range of different names depending on the chess store you will tend to shop at. The term Reykjavik series often takes after this particular name due to the infamous chess tournament held in 1972 Iceland. This tournament was held between 2 chess masters in Bobby Fischer and Boris Spassky, the former of course came our victorious in this final championship. This particular final is recorded in history as potentially one of the best. The term Jacques staunton is famous for this particular pieces as the Jacques of London initially introduced this particular set of chess pieces. Indeed now all of these staunton chess pieces are reproductions of the design.
