Named after the iconic 1972 Reykjavik chess tournament, where Bobby Fischer triumphed over Boris Spassky, these pieces are meticulously crafted by skilled artisans in Amritsar, India, from solid blocks of wood. Each piece is heavily weighted to ensure stability during play, with a soft green felt layer protecting the chessboard. Accompanying the set is a luxurious mahogany wood veneered chess piece storage box, thoughtfully designed to accommodate pieces ranging from 3 to 4 inches, lined with plush black velvet felt for utmost protection.
